Pilkington Activ Self-cleaning Glass
Self-cleaning glass sounds too good to be true but Pilkington Activ does just that. The secret lies in its special coating, which works in two stages. Firstly, the coating reacts with ultra-violet light to break down and disintegrate organic dirt. Secondly rain water running down the glass washes loosened dirt (both organic and inorganic) away.
The coating will last as long as the glass itself, giving many decades of service.
